Possibly as a reaction to the shocking carnage of The Great War, acompanied after centuries of rigidity and stiffness that preceded it, the 20’s relished in casting this aside for a far looser and softer look. Ladies morphed into flappers and men once again became dapper. This choice of a far less formal attire made by both sexes and was best exemplified by sportswear being worn both on and off the field of conflict. The iconic tennis players polo shirt, or the yachtsman’s blazer are prevalent now as they were at their conception a century ago. The sheer resilience of the 20’s resilience is best reflected by how many repeat performances this decades garb has had in the last 100 years
