You could almost literally take any garment that had been worn in the last 200 years and at some time in the 70’s it made a special guest appearance. The 20’s had its time again spurred on with the film releases of The Great Gatsby, Chinatown and Bonnie and Clyde. The Rockabilly revival paid homage to the 50’s. But there is always someone that spoils it for everyone else and this little party pooper had its roots in the Mid 70’s underground New York Club scene, but its where it really bore its bitter fruit was in the UK, and it went by the name of Punk, and its aftermath carried on rippling on through the rest of the decade and further influencing as well as fashion all areas of society.
